Virgil Abloh x The Hidden Figures of Speech

Had the honor to attend Virgil Ablohs, “Figures Of Speech” exhibit not long long ago while the exhibit still exists here in Atlanta. Once it is gone it’s gone; {that’s a message of Life in itself}. But beyond that it was an experience like no other. I feel when One has an Art gallery exhibit wherever it may be that it should definitely be an experience like no other. It should be so dope, electric, & one of inspiration and drive like no other that it is in its own lane and expresses organic creativity from Soul whom which the Art was derived from. How that Art is their own vantage point; yet the artist themselves paves that direction of their own creativity.

[This week makes the 7th year that I have been living here in Atlanta so its definitly a night to remember]. #randomfacts

Virgils exhibit resonated to me in an exhibit in a deferent way that has yet been before. It SPOKE. it SCREAMED. It was Humble; it was Calm and tangible. Relatable & deep. My favorite takes from the exhibit included a video. You walked in and sat on 1 of three benches that were placed inside a big room with a projected screen displaying video of Virgil himself speaking. It was awesome to watch because it gave Me the feeling of “wow” this guy is a pure life chemist. What you want is possible. Allow Self to be. Self valuation is all. Another piece that wowd me was the letters he received from the UN (United Nations) telling him to stop using their logo on his multiple projects. I just thought that was so wild and to think about the power type vibrations he projected from within to receive such attention from world powers such as the UN. Like…that’s something. My most favorite piece in his exhibit was what I’d simply like to call the “Blue Ladder”. I’ll say google it (picture below). The meaning Virgil has for it is so relatable for me, elemental, and transparently deep for one like me and simple to grasp. In a nutshell : “You can’t mimic another journey; be inspired (to) create and live in your own process of your own journey. [ Life. ]. Believe in you. The only way is Up. But this ladder lays flat because this is his journey. Yet it symbolized / exudes inspirational vibes to others that yes you can only elevate in life as well (with dedication to). It IS a beautiful piece. I enjoyed it highly.

Virgil, Brother, thank you,
